I have eaten at this hotel and food was a basic standard that you would get in a franchise such as travel lodge. I think this hotel which am surprised has even rated as a hotel rather to my mind an average guest house needs updating. The reason being if you don’t provide a high standard people go elsewhere. I also feel that tourist boards won’t recommend downbeat hotels. I believe that as to holiday in Great Britain deare than abroad that you expect high spec accommodation.
Stayed here a couple of times and everytime I have stayed I have got the back room looking out at bins! The lock on the room door sticks.i had to ring my boyfriend to come help get me out of it. Near fell over the steps goin into the room. Birds poo all over the windows. The stairs goin up to the room is awful. ! Only two of us stayed here for a night payed 80pound to end up getting a family room? 2 extra beds we didn’t need. It was awful. We asked to be moved and they said their was no rooms. Only to see two older people coming in and getting a room, I have spoken till two also young people and they also said they got the back room to. It isn’t worth paying to stay here if your young trust me you will be in the back room too!! Only if you look rich you will be fine. The bar is nice but some of the staff is rude makes you feel like your not welcome..
