‘Global Journeys’, is the large silver ball that can be found on Newcastle’s Central Promenade. It was Commissioned by Down District Council in 2005 and reflects the land, sky and sea depicting the migratory return of the Atlantic Salmon to the area.
Never knew this was its proper name. We just called it “The ball by the wall”. Nice to know it’s correct name and storyline ?. One of the more unusual pieces in our country and popular with photographers.
